Welcome Tyler Wirick to Pier 33’s Boat Sales Team
Please join us in welcoming Tyler Wirick as the newest member of Pier 33’s Sales Team.
Tyler’s neither new to boating nor brand-new to Pier 33. Tyler joined our staff at the beginning of the summer as a valuable member of our Service Department and you may have already met him dockside during our Launch on Command season. We’ve been saving a seat for Tyler in our Sales Department and he’s now ready to provide our clients with New Boat Sales and Yacht Brokerage services.

We asked Tyler to tell you a little bit about himself. Read on:
I grew up in Venice, Florida boating and fishing with my dad, uncles and grandpa. I remember running the Intercostal from Siesta Key all the way down to Boca Grande and Sanibel island trying to bring home dinner. A few times when the Gulf was calm, we would run out to the reefs offshore to fish for flounder and grouper.
My parents moved us back to their hometown of Elkhart, Indiana when I was 16 years old. After graduating high school, I enlisted into the United States Coast Guard. I was assigned to St Ignace, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula right out of boot camp. During my time there I was a crewman on the 47ft motor lifeboat, 25ft rescue boat for search and rescue, a lighthouse technician as well as performing law enforcement. After four years I left active duty, I went into the reserves and spent my time in Grand Haven, Michigan and Holland, Michigan. I left the Coast Guard with an honorable discharge, a ton of underway hours, and a 100-ton captains’ license.
I was not enjoying the thought of being away from my family anymore, so I settled down to grow roots in agriculture with a degree from Lake Michigan college and Michigan State University in Viticulture and Enology. I spent over five years in the southwest Michigan wine industry growing, making and selling estate wines. I always felt drawn to the water which brought me here to Pier 33. The Lake and boating are a passion and I feel very much at home here.
